In memory of our beloved prophet

As many of you already know the wonderful president of our church has passed away at the age of 97 years old (1910-2008). He was such a wonderful man who did so much good for so many people, may we all try to be a little like him.

It is semi offical

Hey ya'll. Well I did the official talk to my parents and let them know so now I am posting this for all to see (well I guess amber). Ben and I went and designed a ring. A while ago Ben's mom offered her mother's ring for us to use. So today we went to Belliston Jewelry and sketched out some designs. The below design is the one we decided on. We picked a new center stone and all the other stones are coming from his grandmothers ring. I am so excited, picking out a ring is awesome all on its own but having the stones from his late grandmothers ring is all the more exciting.

This is Ben's grandmothers ring that we are gonna use. We are gonna use the two lower set diamonds and the three little ones on each sides. One of the top diamonds fell out a while ago, the one top set diamond we are gonna put into a pendant and give it back to his mom as a thank you.

We will finalize the ring design in about a week and then in about another three weeks it will be made. 80)

update

Over the weekend to celebrate the new to me Honda, I traveled down and visited my wonderful -now pregnant- friend Sarah and consequently her husband Brian. Sarah loves rice pudding and I had never enjoyed the treat so we went to a place called pudding on the rice. Pudding on the rice is modeled after the NY store rice to riches and they specialize in ... you guessed it, rice pudding of all different flavors. I actually got coconut(I know mom, crazy), Sarah had cinnamon, and her husband had cherry with chocolate pieces. yummmmmmy!

This morning I woke up again to see that we got another 6" of snow overnight and it seemed more (6" was reported). I got to trudge out to the car and excavate it. After I got in the car with snow up to mid-calf and starting to melt and get my scrubs nice and wet I remembered the big snow boots dad bought me when I moved back. I got them out and used them a couple of times. -Thanks Dad and Mom- Oh yeah these were my stairs this afternoon (worse in the a.m.) yeah there are stairs under there I promise.

The girls were nice and let mama murph sit in front as the honda when on it's first official Stevens Henager nursing school lunch run.

Only about two blocks but it is to gunky to walk, think skinny girls!

Although I gripe about the snow, I do love when it gets all sparkly like this. This is what a true winter wonderland looks like. 80) The world really is such a beautiful place.

woo hooo

Ok so this week was crazy! It was finals week for out Critical Care class which has been like a whirl wind, but thank goodness it is over. The below pic is of me, ashley, and amber relaxing before we took our final. It was one of our longest school days we have had starting at 0900 and leaving class at 1730(530pm). From school we had to go straight to Red Cross for disaster training and finally got to head for home at about 2000 (8pm).

Then today I got the elusive Honda 80) those of you who know about all the troubles that the cross country trip had will understand (they are to lengthly to go into details now).
I was planing to get up and pretty-fie my self but I fell like i'm getting sick again so that didn't happen cause I slept in. Ben came up from his bro's house in Roy and we headed out to the airport. Things were so tight for beth and bud to catch their plane that beth talked me though the check in process for them and I put them on stand by while they were still in route.
Beth and bud were awesome to go through all they did to get the honda to me. I say thank you a million times for all they put up with and all the long driving days. This is apx 15 seconds after they pulled up to the drop off area. I think the whole exchange took about 2 min total.

I have the keys in hand and beth and bud are running into the airport to catch their flight.

After we left the airort ben still had three hours till he had to work so we were gonn park his car and bum around SLC for a bit. Well after some crazy happening we finally were able to grab some lunch and then he headed into work and I headed back to Ogden. I went by and washed off the gunk from the road and here it is safe and sound behind The Beast washed vacuumed. Thanks again mom and dad.

some christmas photos

Christmas day, after a long night of working (no sleep in between) I headed to the airport to meet up with my Grandma Harbour who flew in from sacto. We came into missoula and then headed out to Saundi's in-laws for their traditional christmas prime rib.

Later we did dinner at Derek and Beth's house with the addition of the two fore mentioned and auntie viccie.

Then after what seemed like forever for Derek, we opened presents

Even sue Saundi and Matt's dog got in on the action by hopping up on matts lap.

It was christmas

On christmas eve Ogden got hit with a huge snow storm and it turned the roads into an ice rink. It took me an hour to get to my hospital that usually takes me 10 min to get to. I had to stop on the side of the road and put on chains to the back tires of the burb (not fun and not pictured!) i had not planned to lay in the diry snow and suck in exhaust! 80) but at least I knew how to save myself.

Pictured is one of many cars that got stuck on the road.

What fun, later I'll post christmas photos.

WOOOO HOOO

I am so excited. Today was out last day of class until we have to go back for clinicals on Jan 5th. Even as I am typing this I am breathing a huge sigh of relief. I know all of us in class needed a break. I am so excited to get to see my family and fly with my grams into MT on christmas day. 80)

You're To Kill a Mockingbird!

by Harper Lee

Perceived as a revolutionary and groundbreaking person, you have
changed the minds of many people. While questioning the authority around you, you've
also taken a significant amount of flack. But you've had the admirable guts to
persevere. There's a weird guy in the neighborhood using dubious means to protect you,
but you're pretty sure it's worth it in the end. In the end, it remains unclear to you
whether finches and mockingbirds get along in real life.

belated happy thanksgiving

Well Ben and I celebrated thanksgiving on Sunday because his fam went out of town and we both had to work Thurs, Fri and he worked sat. Anyway..... I cooked a meal and it was great! I cooked a 13lb turkey (sage parm garlic rubbed), mashed potatoes, and an apple pie. I was so excited my apple pie turned out awesome (the last pie I made was not so great). We also had pomegranate with marshmallow cream, corn, green beans, rolls of course martinele's (sp?)

I was able to bake so many wonderful things thanks to my new KitchenAid mixer! It is my Christmas present.

This a.m. I made some of my mom's bran muffins cause I had been missing them. 80)
